Job description
Construction Materials Group is seeking a versitile Building Supply Yard and Warehouse Associate to join our team. This is a dual role position that daily duties are determined by customer and market demand. Primarily, the position is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized warehouse and yard while loading and unloading construction materials. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a truck with a GVW under 26,000lbs when the need arises.
Qualifications
Ability to safely work without constant supervision
Complies with direction and exibits strong problem solving skills
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including fork trucks and flatbed trucks
Experience with loading/unloading and securing freight
Ability to frequently lift 55lbs
Familiarity with city driving and navigation systems
Understanding of basic warehouse and yard layout
Experience in a construction site delivery a plus
Clean driving record for the past 3 years
Willing to provide a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities
Maintian Safe and Orderly Warehouse
Unload incoming freight with a fork truck
Load out customers manually and with a fork truck
Clean and organize a working warehouse and building materials yard
Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport goods over short and long distances
Load and unload bulky construction materials by fork truck, dump bed, or manually.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies
Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor immediately
Safely operare a fork truck in the act of loading delivery vehicles, loading customer vehicles, and unload inbound materials.
